The other day the mailman showed up with a package I had ordered from Nordstrom’s. It was supposed to have contained three pairs of black Polo undershorts. I was disappointed to see, upon opening the box, that the undies were white! I called Nordstrom’s to complain and told the manager that I was leaving for a trip in two days and that I needed my undies right away. She promised to get them out that evening with over-night shipping at no charge. I said thank you and hung up the phone.  Less than five minutes later she called back and said, “Mr. Schwartz, if it’s OK with you, I can drop off the underwear at your home in half an hour on my way home from work?”

Now, that is unbelievable customer service. How many large retailers can you name that would do such a thing? I have always loved Nordstrom’s and their customer service but this took it to another level! I don’t think I will shop anywhere else ever.
